The rain stopped just in time and brought a nice breeze! The 2026 Tackle the Hills Challenge Walk for Autism Awareness was another incredible way to start the last Saturday in April. This community proved once again what it means to come together for a purpose bigger than ourselves.

Thanks to the Oxford Police Department for being at the walk with information on the Blue Envelope Program – an initiative designed to support individuals with autism and other communication differences during interactions with law enforcement. It’s a simple tool that can make a difference in safety, understanding and peace of mind.
To every walker, volunteer, supporter and advocate – every step taken was a step toward awareness, acceptance and opportunity. Your participating makes it possible for us to purchase software to provide alternative communication tools and strategies. We cannot wait to see the impact that access to Proloquo and Proloquo2Go will have to aid in more confident and expanded communication.
